In reply to your letter No.12100, of the 10th
instant, I am directed by Earl Curzon of Kedleston
to state that His Lordship sees no objection to the
proposed visit of the Governor of Hongkong to the
Governor of Macao.
I am to suggest that Sir E. Stubbs might be
asked to use this opportunity to report on the
position at Macao in regard to the incident that
has arisen between Portugal and China.
